Students from Wingate High School in Ft. Wingate, New Mexico, recently traveled to Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque to participate in an in-person dual-credit Art Foundation class. The class gave students a hands-on college experience. They received SIPI student ID cards, toured the campus, and were warmly welcomed by several departments, including Culinary Arts, Vision Care Technology, and Early Childhood Education.

While back at Wingate, these students continue their SIPI coursework virtually. In addition to the art class, other WHS students are enrolled in a Navajo Government dual-credit course from SIPI held virtually on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Wingate High School is proud to partner with SIPI to expand dual-credit opportunities as students explore college pathways while still in high school.
