Wingate High School’s nutritious meal plans are key to its students’ academic achievement and overall success. Our cafeteria staff prepares balanced meals daily. Students receive the necessary nutrition, energy and brain food to focus, flourish and finish each school day. We expect all students to respect the cafeteria while visiting for our breakfast or lunch services. Please review the cafeteria rules to help us maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Cafeteria Rules

  • No tea, sodas, sports drinks or energy drinks are allowed in the cafeteria (only bottled water, milk and juice served from the cafeteria).
  • All electronic devices must be out of sight in the cafeteria.
  • Headgear must be removed before entering the cafeteria.
  • No cutting into the food line.
  • Horseplay (e.g., shoving, running, shouting, fighting, throwing food) is prohibited.
  • Each student is expected to clean the area they used and dispose of all trash in the designated trashcan.
  • A student who wants a second helping must wait until everyone has been served once and must use their same tray. Sometimes, there will not be enough for seconds.
  • Sponsors of after-school clubs, classes, tutoring or sports must supervise their students during dinner at the cafeteria (if applicable).
