Our School

Wingate High School provides a dynamic daily learning environment, nurturing Navajo scholars in grades 9 – 12. We focus on fostering self-identity, academic excellence, leadership, and wisdom among our students. Our school community prepares students for graduation, higher learning, and a successful life plan. Wingate High School practices the traditional concept of Hozho to promote every student's physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Wingate High School fosters academic achievement by empowering students with the necessary tools to reach their full potential. We provide students with daily nutritious meal plans, structured physical activities, and social-emotional teaching strategies. Our dedicated team of educators remains fully engaged with students and parents/guardians to enhance their holistic learning experience and overall health.

Students at every grade level meet or exceed academic proficiency in reading, language arts, mathematics, and science. Wingate High School faculty, staff, and community members offer additional support through college and career readiness, counseling, mentoring, Navajo language and culture, tutoring, credit recovery, increased stakeholder engagement, and fiscal efficacy.

As we serve our students' unique academic needs, we help them develop into the analytical and critical-thinking leaders of tomorrow. Our supportive learning process makes academic success possible for all students, guiding them on their next step to graduation. Our learning environment turns all Bears into lifelong learners, problem solvers, and collaborators.
